Why a corporate URL is the wrong place to measure local
When someone asks AI for the best option near them, AI does not read your national homepage. It reads whatever it can find about the location closest to that person: the local page, the map listing, the address, the reviews tied to that storefront.
That is why a corporate site so often scores zero on Locality. The brand may rank well and have strong reviews, but if those signals live only on the individual location pages, the corporate URL cannot show them. Scoring the brand on its homepage alone would punish a multi-location business for spreading across storefronts.
So AIOStory reads the five brand chapters (Clarity, Identity, Substance, Reach and Reputation) from your corporate site, and reads Locality from the locations you enter, averaged across them. The result is an honest head to head between two businesses on the ground, not just on the front page.
